Fifty Shades Of Crave

I am proud to report that on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, LMS Productions kicked off our first big event at KC Crave Restaurant in Jacksonville Beach! The much anticipated "Fifty Shades of Crave" party gave patrons a chance to feed their curiosity at KC Crave, benefitting the Children's Home Society of Florida (Buckner division).

KC Crave invited attendees to come experience all the restaurant had to offer through a sensual night of tantalizing food and wine tastings, highlighting the creativity of KC Crave's culinary team. Along with the restaurant's alluring atmosphere, which incorporates sleek cream seating contrasted against the rich mahogany woodwork, KC Crave was the perfect venue to host our “Fifty Shades” party. With Fifty Shades of Crave being a masquerade event, partygoers were encouraged to wear a disguise, which, much to our surprise, almost everyone partook in the fun!

For those of you who are "Fifty fans," choosing the Children's Home Society to be the beneficiary of the nights proceeds was a no-brainer tie-in with the book's main character, Christian Grey. But more importantly, beyond the fiction of the books, in researching this charity further, the Founder of the Children's Home Society's story deeply touched my heart (especially being a mother myself), and urged me to get KC Crave involved.

"A survivor of child abuse and passionate advocate for kids, CEO David A. Bundy has devoted his three-decade career to serving children and families, particularly those in danger of repeating harmful cycles of abuse. With Children's Home Society of Florida for more than 20 years, Mr. Bundy has held the top post since 2000, propelling us to become a national leader in caring for kids and families."More

With just more than 200 people in attendance, Fifty Shades of Crave was a big hit, even drawing "local celebrities" such as the former Mayor of Jacksonville John Peyton and his wife Kathryn, Lito Sheppard (NFL Football legend) and his wife Nicole and my friends Kara Keough (of the Real Housewives of Orange County) and fiancé Kyle Bosworth (LB for the Jacksonville Jaguars).

Restaurant KC Crave officially opened its doors on Aug. 11, 2012 (in the former Giovanni’s location) at 1161 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. The restaurant features a new American-style menu featuring slow-roasted meats with specialty toppings, promoting a ‘Sharing Encouraged’ cuisine through starter plates and larger sharing plates.

Being fortunate enough to try almost everything on the menu, my absolute favorites are the Hawaiian Style Poke (served in a martini glass), Beer Cheese Soup (a warm spoonful of salty, creamy goodness) and the Pistachio Lamb Lollipops (robust, earthy and minty), just to name a few.

KC Crave's fresh restaurant concept offers a variety of value-driven options, putting a creative spin on the culinary experience, including using ingredients from their very own herb garden and working closely with local purveyors. The restaurant also has cutting edge beverage features including the “Tap Room” upstairs where guests can serve themselves from the digital beer taps at their tables, a state of the art wine preservation system and amazing infused drinks in a variety of flavors.

If your looking for a hip, sexy restaurant and bar in Jax Beach, look no further than KC Crave.
Oh, and Andy Viola, KC Crave's GM, is literally the nicest guy in the world - tell him Lisa "Fifty Shades" sent you!

Welcome!

Hello Readers, Fans...Mom.  I'm Lisa of LMS Productions.

Born and bred in Seattle, tamed in Montana, and now residing in Florida, this Urban Cowgirl has seen it all.  From the big city, to the wide-open spaces, it's not where you live, it's whom you choose to share your most amazing moments with.

For the past decade I devoted my life to my career in advertising.  Now, I choose to spend my time savoring all life has to offer and utilizing those experiences towards building my own brand - LMS Productions.

Dedicated to experiencing all Jacksonville has to offer by eating, drinking and mingling my way through this city, I started this blog to share my experiences with those of you who, like me, are skeptical to the cultural and hip offerings around town.

Let's face it, Jacksonville doesn't rank high on the "cool factor" of trendy cities for singles or even young, fun DINK's or (gasp!) parents! But after close observation over the past decade, I have come to realize this place we call home is very cool, you just have to know where to look, and I'm just the girl to show you where!

Who said life ends after marriage and kids - I say, it's only just begun! But just to warn you, I am Martha Stewart meets Sex and the City, so I promise to BEHAVE....most of the time.

Let's begin this journey together - Carpe Diem!  It's time to suck out all the marrow of life.  BTW, are you going to eat that?
